Privacy Policy
Last updated: 23 July 2026
1. Who is responsible for your data
aceliQ is operated by Leusenko Pavel (an individual established in Georgia), trading as “aceliQ”. For any privacy question or request, contact [email protected].
2. Scope
This Policy explains what data aceliQ handles when you use the service, why, and the choices and requests available to you. It applies to the aceliQ application and does not cover third-party services that have their own privacy terms.
3. What data we handle
- Account and authentication data — such as your email address and the credentials and session information needed to sign you in and keep you signed in.
- Profile and preferences — such as your display information, learning preferences, native language, target band, and interface settings (for example, your theme choice).
- IELTS practice and learning history — your Reading and Listening activity and answers, progress, and related history.
- Writing submissions — the texts you write and submit, and their reviews.
- Speaking audio, transcripts, and reviews — the audio you record, the transcripts produced from it, and the feedback generated.
- Vocabulary and Study Plan data — the words you save with their context, and your study-plan inputs and schedule.
- Full Mock data — your full-mock sessions, answers, and results.
- Community and moderation data — content you post publicly, reactions, mentions, and information related to reports and moderation.
- Subscription and transaction metadata — plan, billing status, and payment-related identifiers we receive from our payment provider. We do not collect or store your full card details.
- Technical, cookie, storage, and security data — limited technical information needed to run, secure, and troubleshoot the service.
4. Where the data comes from
We receive this data directly from you (when you register, practise, submit content, or post), automatically as you use the service (for example, technical and session data), and from our payment provider (subscription and transaction metadata).
5. Why we use your data
We use your data to: provide and operate the features you use; generate practice feedback, transcriptions, and estimated scores; save and show your learning history and progress; run the Community and moderation; process and manage subscriptions through our payment provider; keep the service secure and prevent fraud and abuse; respond to your requests and support enquiries; and meet legal, accounting, and record-keeping obligations.
6. Legal bases
Depending on your location and the applicable law, we rely on bases such as performing our contract with you (to provide the service you signed up for), our legitimate interests (such as security, fair use, and improving reliability), your consent where required, and compliance with legal obligations. Where a particular basis is required by the law that applies to you, that law governs.
7. AI-assisted processing and OpenAI
Several features use AI-assisted processing, provided by OpenAI, to deliver what you request. Depending on the feature you use, this may involve sending to the AI provider:
- your Speaking audio, for transcription;
- your Speaking transcripts, for feedback and estimated scoring;
- your Writing submissions, for feedback and estimated scoring;
- your Vocabulary terms and the context in which you saved them; and
- related question, language, or learning context needed for the feature (for example, your native language or target band).
AI-generated output may be inaccurate or incomplete, and any estimated scores or bands are educational guidance, not official IELTS results. External AI providers process the material you submit in order to provide the requested feature, under their own applicable terms and safeguards. We do not make specific claims about how the AI provider retains, locates, or reviews data beyond what those providers state in their own terms.
8. Payment processing and Paddle
Payments are processed by Paddle, which acts as the merchant of record. When you purchase or manage a paid plan, Paddle handles your payment and card details directly; we receive subscription and transaction metadata (such as plan, status, and transaction identifiers) but not your full payment-card data. Paddle processes your payment information under its own terms and privacy notice presented at checkout.
9. Other service providers
Besides our AI and payment providers, we use infrastructure providers for cloud hosting and file storage (for example, to store Speaking audio) so we can run the service. These providers process data on our behalf to the extent needed to provide their part of the service.
10. Public versus private information
Most of your data — your practice history, submissions, recordings, transcripts, vocabulary, and study plan — is private to your account and used to provide the service to you. Content you choose to post in the Community is public and may be visible to other users. Please consider what you share publicly.
11. Cookies and browser storage
aceliQ uses only what it needs to work:
- an essential authentication cookie that keeps you signed in (it is not used for advertising or tracking);
- browser storage for preferences such as your theme selection; and
- checkout-related technologies loaded by Paddle when you open checkout, as part of processing your payment.
aceliQ does not currently intentionally use analytics, advertising, or marketing trackers. Third-party services may use technologies necessary to provide their services under their own policies.
12. How long we keep data (retention criteria)
We keep data based on need rather than fixed public timetables:
- Account and learning data may be kept while your account is active and while needed to provide the service.
- Speaking audio may be kept while needed for transcription, review, your learning history, and account functionality. Speaking transcripts, Writing submissions, reviews, Reading and Listening history, Full Mock data, Vocabulary, Study Plan data, and stored AI outputs may be kept while your account is active and the related feature needs them.
- Sessions you hide or remove from your history are hidden, not deleted.
- Following a verified deletion request, data may be deleted or anonymised where reasonably possible.
- Billing, transaction, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, security, moderation, dispute, and legal records may be kept where necessary.
- Community content may remain with attribution removed or anonymised where needed to keep conversations coherent.
- Logs and backups may persist until their applicable retention or rotation completes.
13. Making a privacy request
To make a request about your data — such as access, correction, deletion, or export — email [email protected]. At launch this process is handled manually by our support contact. Please send your request from the email address registered to your account; we may ask for proportionate confirmation that the account is yours (we do not routinely ask for identity documents).
14. How we handle deletion and other requests
We will assess your request and fulfil it where reasonably possible. Some data may be retained or only partially removed because of legal, billing, security, moderation, technical, or backup reasons. We do not offer immediate, complete, or fully automated deletion, and we do not provide self-service account deletion or automated data export.
15. International processing and transfers
aceliQ and its providers may process your data in more than one country. Where data is transferred across borders, we rely on the arrangements and safeguards applicable to those transfers. We do not claim that your data is processed in, or confined to, any single specific country or region.
16. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, such as restricting access, using private storage for uploaded files, and securing sign-in. No online service can be completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
17. Minors and guardian permission
There is no fixed minimum age to use aceliQ. If you are not legally able to agree to this Policy on your own, you should use aceliQ only with a parent’s or guardian’s permission and, where required, supervision. We do not collect date of birth or verify age or parental permission.
18. Your rights
Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of certain data. Not every user has identical rights. You can exercise the rights available to you by contacting [email protected], and we will respond as required by the law that applies to you.
19. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date and take reasonable steps to make the change noticeable.
